Your own company, studies, family or permanent residence instead of a card tied to someone else's firm
A work-based residence card is tied to the employer, position and salary written in the voivode's decision: lose the job and the permit is at risk, find a new one and you have to amend the decision first. Some grounds have no such tie. We find the one that fits you, prepare the file and see the case through until you hold the card.

Each has its own conditions and none fits everyone, so we start with your situation.
You set up a company or buy a share in one and sit on its management board. In the previous year the company must have earned at least 12 times the average gross monthly salary in its voivodeship, or employed two people on full-time, open-ended contracts for over a year. A new company can instead show funds or steps that will get it there: investment, new jobs. The decision names your company and your position.
Non-EU citizens cannot always register a JDG. It is open to holders of permanent residence, EU long-term residence, a card for studies, family reunification, a Blue Card, marriage to a Polish citizen or a Karta Polaka. On a work-based card a JDG is not possible, only a company.
You need admission, the semester fee paid, health insurance and living funds. A study card gives free access to the labour market: you can work for any employer without a work permit.
A card for a family member of a Polish citizen. You can work without a work permit. The voivode checks that the marriage is genuine, so these cases get a close look and sometimes take longer.
When your spouse or parent lives in Poland with permanent residence, EU long-term residence, a Blue Card, or at least 2 years on residence cards (the last one issued for at least a year). The family needs housing, insurance and stable income. You can work without a permit.
A Polish degree exempts you from the work permit. After graduating you can get a card to look for work or start a business.
Full access to the labour market and the right to register a JDG. Usually after 5 years of legal stay, sooner through marriage to a Polish citizen or with a Karta Polaka.

We register the sp. z o.o., gather marriage or admission documents, and check whether the company meets the income test.
We prepare the application and attachments, you sign it with your profil zaufany. It has to go in while your stay is still legal.
The fingerprint appointment and any wezwania arrive via eDoręczenia. We answer on time and file a ponaglenie if the case stalls.
After a positive decision you collect the card at the urząd, within 60 days of the notice.
The price is fixed in the agreement before we start.

Yes. A different ground means a new application in MOS, filed while your stay is still legal. If you file on time, your stay remains legal until the final decision. Until then you may only work on the terms your current documents allow.
