Polish licence, licencja na taxi, on the road - turnkey
Only a driver with a Polish licence may drive for Uber, Bolt or FreeNow: since 17 June 2024 the Road Transport Act requires it, foreigners included. Before cooperation starts, the platform checks in person your ID, Polish licence and a criminal-record certificate issued no more than a month earlier. The licence to carry passengers is held by the carrier you drive for, or by you if you run your own business. We handle the licence exchange (from 1,800 PLN) and the KRK certificate (500 PLN).
From licence exchange to the first ride - turnkey.
We swap practically any foreign licence - Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian, Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian and others - for a Polish cat. B. Only drivers whose licence does not match the Vienna Convention model sit the theory exam at WORD. Without a Polish licence, since 17.06.2024 you cannot drive taxi.
We obtain the licence at the city/gmina office for your city, or plug you into a partner flotowy (fleet partner) who already holds one.
We arrange the mandatory medical and psychological exams for a taxi driver. We book trusted doctors and see it through to the orzeczenie (certificate).
We pull a fresh KRK certificate (Polish criminal-record certificate). The law requires a taxi driver to have no convictions for listed offences, and the platform checks this. A home-country certificate is not required by law yet: that requirement exists only in the government draft UD431. If someone asks for it, we order a sworn translation.
We create the driver account, pass document and criminal-record verification, set up payouts. We connect several platforms at once for maximum rides.
No car of your own - we match you to a fleet renting a vehicle on its own terms. The car must meet platform requirements.
We arrange a PESEL and check your residence basis (visa, residence card, UKR status) - no licence is issued without legal residence.
We prep you for the office interview at licence registration and for basic passenger contact. If needed, we accompany you to the office.
With a ready Polish licence - closer to 2 weeks; with a licence exchange - 4-8 weeks.

For taxi - no longer. Since 17 June 2024 Bolt, Uber and FreeNow require a Polish cat. B licence. You need a licence exchange (wymiana prawa jazdy). UKR status does not exempt you: under temporary protection a Ukrainian licence is valid for ordinary driving (currently until 4 March 2028), but for taxi work the law requires a Polish one. We do the exchange turnkey.
