Living outside Poland and asked for a Polish police clearance? We obtain your zaświadczenie z Krajowego Rejestru Karnego (KRK) in Warsaw under a power of attorney, so you don't have to travel. Spain, Malta, the Netherlands and other EU states often ask for criminal record certificates from the countries you lived in before. For your years in Poland, that is the KRK. Regulation 2016/1191 exempts a criminal record certificate from the apostille only when an EU citizen's own country of nationality issues it. A Polish certificate for a Ukrainian or Belarusian citizen is not covered, so we check what the receiving office wants.
TfL asks applicants who lived outside the UK for three months or more in the last ten years for a Certificate of Good Conduct from each of those countries. For Poland it is the KRK, with a sworn translation into English.
US consulates and IRCC in Canada ask for police certificates from the countries where you lived. Their official instructions don't mention an apostille, so before you order we check what the receiving office actually wants; a sworn English translation is usually needed.
Lebanon and the UAE don't accept the apostille. There the certificate is legalised at the MSZ and then certified by the embassy or consulate of the destination country.
Schools, care providers, banks and security firms abroad often want a check from every country you worked in. Forward us their written requirements and we match the format before filing.
The Foreigners Act (art. 203 for permanent residence) and the Polish Citizenship Act (art. 20 and 33) don't list a KRK certificate among the attachments: the voivode and the Interior Ministry ask the Police, the Internal Security Agency and the Border Guard themselves. If an office still asks for one in a wezwanie, we get it for you.
When you're being entered into KRS as a board member, the registry court checks the KRK to confirm you're not barred under Article 18 of the Commercial Companies Code.
Bidders submit a KRK on the company as a collective entity and on its board members. The contracting authority may require certificates issued no earlier than 6 months before submission.

We file a paper wniosek at the KRK information office, ul. Czerniakowska 100 in Warsaw. State fee 30 PLN, plus 17 PLN stamp duty on the power of attorney. Officially the KRK takes 2-5 business days. For citizens of other EU countries it also queries the home register, which takes 3-5 weeks.
MSZ apostille, when the receiving office in a Hague Convention country such as the USA, the UK, Canada or Morocco asks for it: 60 PLN state fee, plus the wait for a free slot. Lebanon and the UAE are outside the Convention: the MSZ legalises the certificate (26 PLN) and the destination country's embassy certifies it. Inside the EU the apostille is usually not needed - check with the receiving office first.
A tłumacz przysięgły from the Ministry of Justice list translates the certificate into the language the receiving office needs. The price depends on the language and the document - we quote it on request once you order.
